My own professional journey – as an employee as well as a freelancer – has inspired me to start this blog. There are many things I wish I had known years ago that I would like to pass on to others – even if it is just to show that we are all experiencing similar things. Life as a freelancer is full of ups and downs, but it is all worth it. The Freelance Stories will tell you why.
As a freelancer, I see many businesses – sometimes as a contractor from the inside, sometimes as a consultant from the outside. But no matter what, I generally care about my client’s business and am willing to go the extra mile because it is incredibly rewarding to know that you have made a difference. I will share my experiences here to encourage others to do the same.
Stories about…
The Freelance Stories are about clients that showed some real appreciation, but also clients that are late with payments, about months that were so packed with work that I did not have time to sleep, but also quiet months that I got to spend in amazing parts of this world. The stories are about very emotional moments, positive and negative, moments where my voice as a consultant was heard and those when it was not. I will also share stories about amazing people I met along the way, people that helped me on my journey, believed in me when I did not, listened and provided hugs, but I will also share stories about those that let me down.
Being a freelancer is challenging but also incredibly rewarding. After all, I’m writing this from a co-working space that is only 100m away from a surf beach in Spain.
Although it does not really matter for the Freelance Stories, what I do, it is a part of it. I’m an SEO and digital PR consultant and translator. I will leave the rest to the about me section.
